I agree! It was a lot of fun to help with your campaigns and know that you were really working to make a DIFFERENCE! :)
love, LUcas
Good work Mom! We are really proud to be your kids. I have to say that I didn't like working on your campaigns though. I wouldn't mind if I never had to go door-to-door ever again. :) It was all worth it though. We love you.

What a lovely, heartfelt, and fitting tribute to you Barbara! I just wanted to leave my thoughts also. You are indeed blessed with a leadership spirit and you have done a great job of fulfilling your responsibility as a representative and more importantly as a child of God. I'm sure none of us know completely what these years have meant to you or the struggles you now face as to what's next. But, one thing we all know is He is faithful and you will give your all to whatever it is :) love you sis, Sally
Your husband is in full agreement with those comments. You have served honorably and never one time have you been selfish. The Lord has been good to us and it is exciting to see where we go from here. You have found your way into countless hearts and your character has preached volumes. And now ------ it's time to march on. I love you, Nick
Give the king Your judgments, O God and Your righteousness to the king's daughter. May she judge Your people with righteousness and Your afflicted with justice. Let the mountains bring peace to the people, and the hills, in righteousness. May she vindicate the afflicted of the people, save the children of the needy and crush the oppressor. Let them fear You while the sun endures, and as long as the moon, throughout all generations... Psalm 72
This was a prayer Solomon prayed. I thought of you, Aunt Barb, as I wondered what to offer as a thank you. The spirit with which you ruled, guided and fought was the very Spirit of the Most High God. He is full of love and justice, mercy and kindness, strength and wisdom, knowledge and understanding. You have come up higher and have been mantled and walked in something greater than you can fathom. Your time of ruling has not ended, but only begun.
Praise be to the name of the Lord who has been honored in and through you. Strength and Honor, my friend... Strength and Honor.
Thank you for being true.
Thank you for enduring.
Thank you for persevering.
Thank you for being faithful.
Thank you for ruling with love, grace and truth.
Jenny
Mom,
I will also Amen this entry from Aunt Donna. I have watched you over the last 6 years and often thought, "How does she do it?" You are one of the most selfless people I know. And for the record, I didn't like door to door either. But I would gladly do it again if you needed it! So would Mark. :)
PS: Great comment Dad! I am sure you scored brownie points!
