Valladares' :)!

Hi family! Carlos and I wanted to give you an update about our status and where and what we will be doing...

First of all, Andres is so precious!!! What a miracle he is...and such a good baby! He sleeps well, only gets up about once a night to eat, and he's so content MOST of the time :)! It's amazing how you feel, there really aren't any words to describe it...:)! I LOVE being a mom!

Carlos and I have decided to stay here in MI indefinitely...I just got a job teaching English at GVSU through the English Language Services (ELS) centers...what a blessing and answer to prayer this job is! I only teach 20hrs/wk, but that is considered full time with the program...yay for benefits :)! We are waiting on Carlos' paperwork and then he'll be able to start working as well! It has definitely been a bit stressful with all the changes in our lives, but God is faithful and we're learning a lot in the process :)!

Just a few prayer requests: we need the papework to go as fast as possible so Carlos can work as soon as possible, and we need a reliable car at a good price :)!

Hello Yall,

This is the Tina Stickney... updating you on the pre-term labor with the current pregnancy. I saw my Dr. today and I haven't dialated or progressed in any other way in two weeks. The contractions have very significantly subsided... so my leash has been loosened a little!! :)

A big thanks to Andy, Matt, Mom, Courtney, Lisa, Vince and Cory for moving our partial home "update" project forward so quickly!!! It's just what a preggo needs... her nest in order! :)

Okay so here's our contribution to the pictures taken at the anniversary party. My personal favorite is, of course, Aunt Renee enjoying her afternoon nap in the sunshine!!! (catch any flies?!?) =) It sure was a great time and we really enjoyed seeing everyone again! Love to all!

Hello Family,

Just wanted to give an update on the Stickneys!! Cory has been busy working on Ava's next room and of course on all his "buy/sell" deals :) ! Ava's SO much fun and her personality is coming out more and more all the time! Tina is needing your prayers with our current pregnancy. She's at 30 wks and has started some pre-term contractions. We had the same issue w/ Ava's pregnancy.. but started or knew that they started earlier this time. So pray that 1st the baby would stay put for another 6 wks, 2nd that Tina won't have to go on bed rest and 3rd that God will give Tina wisdom for when to go and when to rest! :) Love you all... and God Bless!

BARN UPDATE

Thank you to everyone who helped work on the barn Saturday. The back is finished (see shiny steel siding in 1st picture) and the trim is complete for the rest of the barn. Completion will take place on Saturday, September 29 and workers are always welcome and well fed!

To all the thrifty shoppers...

Hello Everyone!! I wanted to put the word out, cuzz I know how efficient and thrifty this family is, that I"m looking for a few baby items. I would really like a double stroller (definitely #1 on my list), an excer-saucer and a floor jungle gym (something that the baby lays on with toys hung above it). These were all things I borrowed when Makayla was little but couldn't get them this time around. I'm obviously not opposed to used items and have been looking at garage sales but they must be few and far between around here. A little dirty is okay because it washes up but I would like them to be in fairly good condition. Anyhow, if anyone has one of them that I could borrow or knows of a good second-hand place to buy them I'd be grateful for the info!
Everything is well here.....we're all counting down to baby's arrival! =) Looking forward to seeing all your shining faces at the big bash at Stellies! Love you all! Kim
